Bio Security is a set of practices to reduce the risk of disease transmission among horses. Its important to maintain these practices at ALL TIMES, not just when there’s a disease outbreak.
All horses attending our center must be vaccinated against Equine Influenza. Must have two primary injections (21–60 days apart) and be six days clear of the second vaccination to compete. Passports must be presented to the office upon arrival.
With heightened reported cases of Strangles in our area, we would like to reiterate our Bio Security Policy, which is also displayed in our Terms & Conditions and agreed to when visiting our centre.
DO NOT visit our centre if your yard has a confirmed case of strangles or your horse is unwell.
Bring your own water. No one will be allow to use any water supplies on our yards.
Absolutely NO access for humans or horses, to the livery yards, down the track next to the car park or in the small field next to the outdoor arena.
NO congregating of humans or horses in holding areas. Not only is it a bio security risk, its dangerous.
NO tying of horses to vehicles when waiting around or tacking up. Do your thing and go.
NO hand grazing anywhere on the property.
As ALWAYS: do not touch or stroke other horses, only your own. Avoid direct interaction with other horses. Do not allow muzzle to muzzle contact with other horses even if they are known to each other. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN BIOSECURITY.
If any horse visiting our centre displays any signs of being unwell i.e snotty nose, coughing, ringworm you will be asked to leave the centre immediately.
Anyone not adhering to any of above will also be asked to leave the centre immediately.
