Testimonials

I have been on full livery at Holmside Hall since 2015 and can’t see myself going anywhere else. The yard is run in a very professional manner with the horse’s welfare being at the forefront of everything.

Bio safety is second to none, with an isolation block for all new liveries. The facilities are excellent, a large floodlit indoor arena and two floodlit outdoor arenas allow riding all year round (a Godsend during Covid). Lessons are available most weeks from Danielle and other high-level coaches for all disciplines to prepare for the many competitions which take place at Holmside.

It’s so easy at Holmside Hall as everything is organized for liveries, there are arranged visits from the Farrier, Vets, Physio, Dentist & a Master Saddler. Stables are spacious and in large American Barns.

Straw and haylage are provided for all liveries and are of the highest quality, feeds are provided according to the needs of the horse and there are regular visits from Baileys Feeds who weigh, and body score the horses so that feeds can be altered accordingly, there is also a worming program.

We’re a very social and friendly bunch at Holmside Hall with BBQs, nights out and trips away, it really is a great place to keep your horse. If Carlsberg made Livery Yards…

Danielle has been teaching my daughter Sophie, age 11 since we moved to Holmside Hall a year ago and Sophie has improved so much in her riding she has moved on from her first pony to a second pony. So, when I asked Sophie what she thought of her lessons with Danielle, she said she really makes you work hard and likes to see you smile, she helps me work towards what I want to achieve next and we always get there. Dan is a fantastic instructor for all levels and abilities and works towards the individual’s goals of the horse and rider.

Danielle is an intuitive and fun coach who has really helped me to develop a more positive mindset towards my riding, teaching me new skills as well as giving me the ability to think for myself. Her excellent eye for detail and her ability to assess just what my horse and I need to improve and move forward, have really helped me to improve my confidence. My favourite things about Danielle’s coaching style are that she is fun, straightforward and she really understands both me and my horse. She has helped me to progress from a nervous individual who completely doubted her own ability in the saddle to a more confident and competitive rider with actual goals. This year I entered my first ever showjumping competition at the tender age of 51 – something I’m sure I wouldn’t have done without Danielle’s encouragement and belief – we’ve even managed to collect a few ribbons!

I have been going to Danielle for coaching for nearly ten years now; she
has helped me prepare for my BHS Stage 3 and 4.
In addition, she also helps me with my competitive goals as I have been
producing a young horse and we are now successfully competing in British
Showjumping.

Danielle is an incredibly observant and committed coach and I always
feel sessions help me work towards goals and increase my understanding
whilst always keeping the welfare and confidence of the horse at the
centre. This is paired with amazing facilities including large indoor
and outdoor arenas. Thoroughly recommend whether you are a leisure rider
wanting to improve your skills and knowledge or a competitive rider
aiming to achieve and move up the levels.

I have been at about 9 livery yards in my life, and can honestly say I would never keep my horse anywhere other than Holmside. The care and genuine dedication towards all the horses, and all the people is truly exceptional, and I completely trust Danielle and the family to look after my horse if I’m not there (even after his many major surgeries/medical issues!) Danielle’s extensive knowledge and continued commitment to her own development as a coach and yard owner make Holmside the best possible place to keep your horse, and help you fulfil all your equestrian dreams.
